Lee Leonard, President: Founder, CEO, Board Director

Lee Leonard is an accomplished CEO of start-up biotechnology firms having served in that capacity for three separate companies over the last 12 years. He co-founded Integrated Biosystems in 1996, led the company through two rounds of VC financing, drove a 25X increase in valuation and ultimately assisted in the sale of the company to Stedim S.A. (Now part of Sartorius Stedim Biotech). Following IBI, he joined an early-stage therapeutic antibody development company,  and led the company through 2 rounds of angel financing. Prior to his start-up experience, Lee held senior sales and marketing positions with renowned biotech firms including Millipore, Sepracor, Biosepara and Sepragen. He began his career in Process Science at Genentech, where he worked for 6 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University.

Eric Lee, Ph.D.: Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Lee is an R&D professional and entrepreneur in the fields of separation and purification, medical devices, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, and in the water and clean energy industries. He has held R&D management positions at U.S. and European companies and technology ventures including DuPont, Sepracor, Integrated Biosystems, Sartorius Stedim Biotech, and Stonybrook Purification. Eric has a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, and continued his education at the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysics (Germany), and at MIT and Harvard University. Eric is a named inventor on over thirty patents.
